It’s FREE to become a Basic Member of Meet a Pet Lover. A Basic Membership allows you to search profiles and to interact with other Pet Lovers. It’s easy to use and a fun way of meeting pet minded people. Meet a Pet Lover is not just a dating site but a unique online “meeting place” for;

1. Relationships: Singles interested in dating and finding that someone special who is as passionate about their pets as you are and who will welcome them into your “relationship”.

2. Friendships: If you’re a stay at home parent, single or retired just looking for companionship for those times when you’re walking the dog, grooming your pet or attending pet shows.

3. Pet Buddy: Even pets need companionship. Whether it’s for a run, a play or a mate. If you’re looking for piece of mind that your pet is happy and well looked after when you’re away, a Pet Sitting arrangement with another Pet Lover is for you.

Basic Membership and Full Membership  are the two types of memberships types available. Basic and Full Members can freely use the search functions to find profiles within their selected criteria and can view the full profile of each Member.

Communication occurs in two ways. You can either “Send a Lead” or “Send a Message” via email to another Basic or Full Member.

Leads are free and can be sent to all Member’s profiles (Basic or Full Members). Sending a lead is an easy way of letting another Member know that you’re interested. To send a lead, click on the “Send a Lead” button against the profile you’re interested in. Members can then respond to your lead to let you know if they’re interested in making further contact. If a Member has responded positively to your lead, you will need to become a Full Member to communicate further via email.

To respond to a lead that you’ve received, you have the option to either select one of the prescribed responses to the lead or to send a message. Sending a lead indicates your level of interest but does not allow message contact. However, sending a message, will allow you to contact the Member and open up communication via email.  To "Send a Message" you need to become a Full Member.

Basic Members can send up to 10 leads per day. Full Members can send unlimited leads. For privacy reasons, you can only send each other member a maximum of one lead.

Sending a message opens up unlimited communication for 30 days between two Members via email through the Meet a Pet Lover message system. Only Full Members can initiate the first email message to another Basic or Full Member. Basic Members cannot initiate the first email message, they can only respond to a message that they receive, to open up communciation. If you receive a message and you wish to communicate further, click on the “Respond to Message” button. Alternatively, if you receive a message you’re not interested in and do not wish to correspond via email any further, click on the “Decline” button and choose from the prescribed list of responses.

Email Correspondence: Meet a Pet Lover will provide you with an email account so you don’t have to set up any additional accounts or worry about your privacy or security. Creating your profile is easy and we provide you with an easy step by step process. Your profile is displayed with your “Profile name” which you choose when you register. Using a “Profile name” protects your privacy. The next step is to complete your profile with information about yourself, your lifestyle, your pets, your interes ts and what you’re looking for in a Pet Lover. It’s entirely your choice if you wish to display your profile photo or not. You can choose to hide your profile photo with password protection so that you control who sees it and when.

3. Activate your profile
Once you fill out your profile we will send you a confirmation email within 24 hours which will include a link requiring you to activate your profile. We do this for your and other’s security. Now you can start interacting with other Members by sending “Leads”.

Monthly Memberships provide you with unlimited email message credits for the duration of the membership period. As a Full Member with a monthly membership, you can initiate the first email message to as many members as you wish to increase your chances of finding what you’re looking for in a Pet Lover. Once you've initiated the first email message to another Member, you open up unlimited communication for 30 days via Meet a Pet Lover's private and confidential email system.

Photo Gallery: as a Full Member with a monthly membership you can enhance your profile with a Gallery of up to 3 Extra Photos and a Video of you and your pets for the duration of the membership.
