ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
When you become a member of Meet a Pet Lover, you agree to comply with the following terms of use for our service. These terms and conditions are the terms on which Meet a Pet Lover offers you access to our services and website. By registering as a member you indicate that you understand and endorse these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions, please do not use the Meet a Pet Lover services and website.

IDENTITY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION
You understand that it is essential that you provide us with personal information (including photographs), which is both truthful and current and is no greater than 12 months old. You are required to notify us of any change to the registration details as originally supplied. Any loss suffered by Meet a Pet Lover as a result of failure to provide personal information which is truthful and current will be borne by you.

MEMBERSHIP COSTS AND REFUND POLICY
You agree to pay for the services provided by Meet a Pet Lover in the manner specified on the web site. The fees for becoming a Full Member are set out on the Meet a Pet Lover website in the Membership section.

Meet a Pet Lover can change the membership terms and rates from time to time but the changes will not affect any current membership that you may have with Meet a Pet Lover. Payments for a 'Meet a Pet Lover' membership are non-refundable and Meet a Pet Lover will only accept payments in full.

If Meet a Pet Lover terminates your membership in accordance with the Terms and Conditions or as a result of your breach of the Terms and Conditions, you are not entitled to a refund, in whole or in part, for any amount paid to Meet a Pet Lover for your membership. If you terminate your membership prior to its expiration, you are not entitled to a refund, in whole or in part, for any amount paid to Meet a Pet Lover for your membership.

COMMUNICATION
You should not include any identifying, illegal, distasteful or unlawful information in your profile.
Below is a representative but non-exhaustive list of the kind and type of content that is illegal for posting or use on the Meet a Pet Lover website, including actions that are prohibited.

1. Illegal or unauthorized copy of another person’s copyrighted work
2. Commercial activities and/or sales  such as competitions, advertising, without the written consent of Meet a Pet Lover
3. You must use the service in a manner that is consistent with all applicable laws and regulations
4. You may not include in your profile any telephone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, last names or URLs
5. You must not use material that is offensive to the online community, such as inappropriate content that involves hatred, racism, explicit sexual content or physical harm of any kind to humans or animals
6. Sending of junk mail, unsolicited mass mailing, spamming, chain letters or selling of goods and services
7. You must not display or encourage the transfer of information that you know is misleading or false and promotes illegal activities or conduct that is abusive, threatening, obscene or defamatory

PROHIBITED PRACTICES
In relation to your use of the Meet a Pet Lover website and services, you agree that you;

1. Will not be under the age of 18 years of age
2. Will not communicate with any person who has indicated that he or she does not wish to continue to communicate with you
3. Will not harass any other another person or promote such behaviour
4. Will not violate any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notices in the Meet a Pet Lover website or the software or intellectual property rights of others
5. Will not use software that contains viruses or any other harmful software viruses which would interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality and the running of the Meet a Pet Lover website
6. Will not have a history of mental health illness or of substance abuse
7. Meet a Pet Lover is not available for commercial use and is only applicable for individuals wishing to use the services for personal use. It is prohibited for any business or individual in direct competition or potentially in competition with Meet a Pet Lover to enter the Meet a Pet Lover  website
8. No part of the Meet a Pet Lover website is to be copied or reproduced or downloaded without written permission, except where permitted by law

KEY DEFINITIONS
The words shown below have the following definitions in the Meet a Pet Lover website;

"Profile" is the profile you complete and submit to Meet a Pet Lover that is viewed in full by other Members. Visitors to the site can only view an abbreviated version of the profile in search results

"Member" includes Basic and Full Members who are registered on the Meet a Pet Lover website

“Basic Member” is a Member who has registered but not purchased a 3 email message credit pack or paid a monthly membership and cannot upload a photo gallery or video or initiate the first email message. They can only respond to a message that they receive to open up unlimited communication for 30 days

“Full Member” is a Member who has purchased a 3 emailmessage credit pack or paid a monthly membership which allows the member to initiate the first email message to another Member. As a Full Member with a monthly membership, you can initiate the first email message to as many members as you wish. Also, as a Full Member with a monthly membership you can have  a gallery of up to 3 extra photos and a video of you and your pets for the duration of the membership

“Lead” refers to the ability of letting another Member know that you’re interested. It does not permit email interaction or direct contact

“Email Message credit” refers to the ability to send a message via email to open up unlimited communication with one other Basic or Full Member for 30 days

TERMINATION
Meet a Pet Lover has the right to terminate your membership if you do not meet the requirements of these Terms and Conditions without refund of any amounts paid to date. Meet a Pet Lover has no liability to your membership and you waive all rights you may have had against Meet a Pet Lover.

If Meet a Pet Lover decides that you are not a suitable candidate for any number of reasons specified or implied in the Terms and Conditions, Meet a Pet Lover reserves the right to refuse you membership.

PRIVACY
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you also agree to the Meet a Pet Lover Privacy Policy contained on this website.

WARNING AND DISCLAIMER
It is at your own risk that you use the services of  Meet a Pet Lover.  We do not provide guarantees to you in finding compatible friendships, relationships or pet buddies and it is not a marriage service but merely a forum for individuals to make contact at their own discretion. You will take responsibility for your own actions entirely.

Meet a Pet Lover will not take any responsibility for any of your actions or the actions of others and by agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you absolve Meet a Pet Lover of any legal responsibilities or repercussions of any actions that you take or others take against you.

You also absolve Meet a Pet Lover of any legal liabilities for any actions of your pet, any actions against your pet or any injury sustained by yourself or your pet.

It is also mandatory that you take your own precautions when corresponding with others or agreeing to meet with others.

You must also take appropriate actions to ensure that your computer and software are protected against viruses, hacking or any other malicious damage.

You are responsible for all information on your profile and what is communicated to others therefore care should be taken in what personal information you release.

Meet a Pet Lover is not responsible for the content sent or communicated  by others  but will terminate membership as required.

When using any online community services or dating sites including Meet a Pet Lover, to ensure your safety against 'scammers' we advise the following protocol of behaviour;

1. Open separate email accounts for online activities that do not include personal details and do not pass on any personal information until you can verify that an individual is 'authentic'.
2. Ensure that you meet in a safe, open and public place when meeting with someone you have met online and tell a family member or a friend where you are going.
3. We advise that you never under any circumstances transfer any money, banking and credit card details or gifts across to any individual that you're communicating with online and have not met.

GOVERNING  LAW
These Terms and Conditions and your membership are governed by the laws of Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Australia.
